Satisfied Customers
The kit comes with a mostly preassembled frame, landing gear, four wheels (two spares), remote control (requires 3xAAA batteries, not included), a small 90mAh lipo battery, USB-A battery charger, four small screws (two spares), phillips screwdriver, two spare props (one spare for each side), small roll of masking tape, and printed instructions. Paper to construct the paper airplane is not included- the instructions for folding the paper plane is based on A4 sized paper. Assembly was easy- basically requires attaching two of the wheels to the landing gear and attaching the landing gear to the frame with two screws. The paper airplane is pretty basic and easy to fold- the step-by-step instructions, including precise measurements, are included in the instructions. I didn’t have A4 paper on hand to fold the plane according to the instructions and somewhat modified the measurements to get my plane as close as I could with the paper I had. Getting the frame properly balanced took some trial and error, but the battery position can be adjusted slightly to fine tune the center of gravity once the frame is close enough. Flying the plane requires virtually zero wind to successfully fly as it doesn’t take much to send the plane off course.
This RC paper airplane kit is a fun project from start to finish. Assembly is straightforward, and it doesn't take long to turn a folded paper airplane into a working remote-controlled aircraft. The instructions are easy to follow, which makes it a good option for beginners as well as anyone who already enjoys hands-on building.
Flying it takes a bit of practice. It works best in an open area with no trees or obstacles, since crashes are part of the learning curve early on. It's worth folding a few backup planes so you can swap one in when the current one takes damage. The gyro stabilizer helps with stability, though getting the balance right takes some trial and error. Weight placement matters more than I expected, and shifting the battery position slightly can make a noticeable difference in how well it flies. The dual propellers provide steady power once everything is dialed in.
The kit includes extra propellers, wheels, screws, and tape, so you have what you need to keep experimenting with different folds and repairs. It folds down for easy storage and transport, which is a nice touch. Paper airplanes won't hold up to repeated crashes the way foam models do, but they're cheap and quick to refold, so that's not a big drawback.
This is a fun activity for older kids with adult supervision, teens, and adults who enjoy building and flying RC models. Testing different paper airplane folds adds another layer of experimentation to the whole thing, and I'd recommend it to anyone who likes trying new hobbies or building projects with their kids.
So much fun for the kids – it turns ordinary paper airplanes into something way more exciting.
My son has played with this for hours and hours – he’s got so good at flying it. The battery lasts well, and it climbs really high too.
